Job summary

Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based Bernard’s Pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable Full-Time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our on-site team. This role oversees daily operations, dispensing accuracy, regulatory compliance, and a patient-centered culture.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ pharmacist license, retail experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage staff and inventory while upholding standards.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New Jersey pharmacist license and eligibility to serve as Pharmacist in Charge.
• Experience in community or retail pharmacy, including prescription verification and counseling.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, medication safety, and controlled substance management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and efficiency.
• Supervise, train, and support pharmacy staff to foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
• Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and appropriate medication use.
• Provide personalized medication counseling and answer patient questions regarding prescriptions, potential side effects, and proper medication use.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable New Jersey and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, medication ordering, and controlled substance procedures.
• Collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve medication-related concerns.
• Support clinical pharmacy services, including immunizations and medication therapy management, as applicable.
• Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy workflows, operational efficiency, and the overall patient experience.

Bernard’s Pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and motivated Full-Time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our pharmacy team in Basking Ridge, NJ. Required Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced pharmacy environment while maintaining accuracy and patient safety.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic prescription systems.
• Ability to perform essential job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy management or leadership position.
