Job summary

Park Ridge Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge designate to lead retail, long-term care, and compounding operations in Park Ridge, NJ. You’ll start as staff pharmacist and transition to PIC after a 90‑day readiness plan, with pay steps up on designation.

Responsibilities include dispensing, LTC coordination, and non‑sterile compounding oversight, with a fixed 70 hours over two weeks and two-pharmacist workflow.

Qualifications

• Active NJ pharmacist license and CDS registration in good standing.
• Immunization certification with NJ administration authority; current BLS.
• 5+ years as a pharmacist; comfortable at high daily prescription volumes with technician support.
• Has supervised, led, or run a pharmacy operation, shift, or program.

Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense prescriptions for retail patients; counsel patients and caregivers.
• Long-term care: verify cycle fills and blister/unit-dose packaging for contracted facilities; handle new admits and dose changes.
• Oversee non-sterile compounding with a trained technician.
• Administer immunizations in-store and support seasonal facility clinics.
• Within 90 days: PIC policies, self-audit, CDS inventory, Board filing.
• Address prescriber, patient, and staff issues directly and decisively.
