Job summary

The Staff Pharmacist is a key member at Pharma Tech Concepts Llc in Neptune Township, NJ, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing and direct patient counseling in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

You will work closely with the owner and technician team to shape the patient experience through clinical judgment, quality service, and strict regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted New Jersey pharmacist license (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
  • Current immunization certification (APhA or equivalent).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and patient-service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and in compliance with federal and NJ state law
  • Counsel patients on medications, side effects, interactions, and adherence
  • Administer immunizations (flu, COVID-19, shingles, etc.)
  • Perform final verification and oversee the workflow of pharmacy technicians
  • Resolve third-party insurance and adjudication issues; manage prior authorizations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and controlled-substance documentation
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and returns; minimize waste and out-of-stocks
  • Deliver clinical services such as MTM, point-of-care testing, and med sync where applicable
  • Build and maintain relationships with local prescribers and patients
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations

Position Summary

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, direct patient counseling, and the day-to-day clinical and operational flow of the pharmacy.
