Job summary

Ascension is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL. You will review medication orders, verify dosing and delivery, provide drug information and counseling, and support the care team to ensure safe patient treatment.

This full-time role requires Florida licensure, a Bachelor’s or PharmD degree, and a commitment to safe, evidence-based practice within a Catholic health system that emphasizes service and growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy prior to hire
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders to ensure appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and safe delivery to patients.
• Identify and resolve potential medication-related concerns by collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other care team members.
• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications accurately to support timely and effective patient treatment.
• Provide drug information and patient counseling to promote medication safety, understanding, and adherence.
• Guide pharmacy technicians and learners to maintain efficient operations and quality standards.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

Education

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
