Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a part-time Pharmacist for evening coverage. The role emphasizes clinical review, patient counseling, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to optimize therapy and ensure safe medication use.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Clinical Review & Intervention: Assessing medication orders to prevent drug-drug interactions, dosing errors, or contraindications, and suggesting formulary alternatives to optimize therapy.

• Operations & Oversight: Compounding and dispensing medications while supervising Pharmacy Technicians in the preparation and maintenance of supplies.

• Education & Consultation: Providing drug information to physicians and nurses, counseling patients on their medications, and serving as a Preceptor to mentor pharmacy students.

• Collaborative Care: Working directly with the healthcare team to resolve drug-related problems and facilitate smooth transitions of care.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
