Job summary

Equity Staffing Group is seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to join a growing long‑term care pharmacy team in Morrisville, NC. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and collaboration with technicians and healthcare professionals.

The position offers an evening schedule (M–F 3:30 PM–12:00 AM; rotating start times after 10/5/26 with a 5-week cycle including a weekend shift). You will verify orders, supervise workflow, and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and clinical pharmacy practice.
  • Experience evaluating drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work evenings, rotating weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness.
  • Review medications for potential drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications.
  • Dispense prescription medications in accordance with state, federal, DEA, and company regulations.
  • Oversee daily pharmacy workflow to ensure production goals, turnaround times, and service expectations are met.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and production staff to maintain efficient operations.
  • Ensure medication packaging, labeling, and dispensing are accurate and compliant.
  • Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV medications and infusion therapies.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, documenting, storing, and maintaining inventory of controlled substances, including perpetual Schedule II inventory.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA requirements, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and all applicable federal and state laws.
  • Monitor workflow dashboards and ensure all assigned work is completed daily.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and facility staff to resolve medication-related questions and issues.
  • Provide timely drug information and clinical support to healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.

Equity Staffing Group is seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to join a growing long-term care pharmacy team. HOURS:

M-F 3:30PM - 12:00AM.

Pharmacy hours will change on 10/5/26. After the change, the schedule will be a 5 week rotation with start times of 6AM, 8AM, 8AM, 9AM and 1PM. Each 5 week rotation will include a weekend shift of 8:30AM - 5:00PM Saturday and Sunday.

Daily responsibilities include:
