Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Home Infusion Pharmacist to review charts and lab results for a caseload of patients receiving specialized infusion therapy. The role requires licensure in Kansas and preference for hospital/home infusion experience.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective care and may supervise technicians in sterile compounding. Full-time position based in Lenexa, KS, with standard 40-hour workweek and CST hours.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required or valid pharmacist license if foreign graduate.
  • Active KS pharmacist license; ability to practice in additional states as required without restrictions.
  • 1 year of hospital and home infusion therapy experience preferred.
  • Two years of recent clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of infusion therapies preferred.
  • Recent inventory management experience preferred.
  • Accuracy in mathematical calculations including pharmacokinetic dosing preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPR+ software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in patient evaluation and chart review for acceptance, product selection, device selection and supply management
  • Collect, interpret, and evaluate physician medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, cost effectiveness, accuracy, safety and completeness
  • Monitor the patient's progress and assessment results to communicate clinical and technical information with the physician and other members of healthcare team. Most patient contact will be on the phone, and, on occasion, you will meet them in our infusion suite
  • Directly supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel in the appropriate compounding, packaging, and labeling of compounded sterile product
  • Assist in training and orientation of new employees, performance improvement activities and educational programs
  • Go in to IV room and mix medications if needed
  • Other duties assigned

You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care. Requirements
