Job summary

PromptCare is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team in Lenexa, KS. Under the direction of a Pharmacist, you will provide clinical support and assist with day-to-day duties to ensure patient care.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30am–5:00pm, reporting to the Pharmacy Supervisor. The ideal candidate holds a CPhT, high school diploma, and familiarity with EMR and MS Office; home infusion

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Active pharmacy technician certificate in state of practice without restrictions.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required within 1 year of hire date.
• Computer skills: familiar with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office required.
• Experience in home infusion or specialty pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Prepares and tracks outgoing shipments to ensure continuity of care for patients.
• Pulls, picks and packs supplies and medications for patient shipments under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist.
• Coordinates deliveries and performs follow-up calls to patients and/or caregivers as assigned.
• Performs data entry of prescription information into EMR and pharmacy tracking systems.
• Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements.
• Assists with inventories and related documentation and reporting.
• Assists in obtaining and tracking billing information and documentation.
• Ensures compliance with PromptCare policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The employee frequently needs to communicate verbally, listen attentively, and spend prolonged periods on feet. The role also requires lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing as needed.
