Job summary

Copper Springs, part Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Pharmacist to join our on-site team in Arizona. You will manage drug therapy protocols, review orders, provide drug information to staff and patients, and document interventions for quality improvement.

The ideal candidate holds AZ pharmacy licensure, a PharmD or equivalent, and at least one year of experience. BLS certification within 30 days is required; comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors required; PharmD preferred.
• Licenses: AZ Pharmacy License.
• CPR/BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy before entry and after filling by technicians.

How you'll contribute

Pharmacist who excels in this role:

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
