Job summary

Baxter is hiring a Quality Technician for the Receiving and Inspection Department in Round Lake Beach, IL. You will inspect APIs, excipients, packaging, and printed inserts, ensuring materials meet specifications and are released for production.

You must meet cGMP/GDP standards, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule with possible overtime in a multi-facility environment. Strong documentation and data-entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Good writing and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team environment and make independent decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements.
• Complete understanding of cGMPs and GDP procedures.
• The candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• 20/30 vision in at least one eye with or without corrective lenses.
• The candidate must be able to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment with minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Completes sampling and inspection of all API and excipients used in the formulation of finished product in Round Lake Drug Delivery.
• Completes sampling and inspection of all printed direction inserts, Labels, Cartons, and other packaging materials used in Round Lake Drug Delivery.
• Releases materials for production after quality inspections and/or tests are completed and acceptable.
• Uses small hand tools and various measuring and testing devices in performing quality tests.
• Strong computer/software literacy, preferred experience with material inventory management systems.
• Completes data entries in GME and Labvantage for materials.
• Completes required weekly cleaning in the Non-Cephalosporin clean room.
• Packages samples to be sent to external testing labs.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed to meet the production schedule.
• Will work in Non-Cephalosporin, Cephalosporin, and Penicillin facilities as needed.
