Job summary

Baxter is hiring a Quality Technician in the United States to support quality systems, manage label copy control, sample management, and documentation review. The role involves floor shop oversight and in-process inspections in Drug Delivery and Penicillin facilities, with flexibility for weekend work and overtime.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma, basic science/math/IT skills, and strong writing and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Basic science, math, and computer skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel) are required.
• Good writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team environment and make independent decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements.
• Desirable: experience with current Good Manufacturing & Documentation Practices in pharma/manufacturing facilities.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, some weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Penicillin or cephalosporin allergy must not be present.

Responsibilities

• Makes detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results.
• Maintains department equipment and inventory levels for controlled materials.
• Owns monthly inventory cycle count initiation and variance follow-up.
• Performs routine inspections as floor shop oversight and in-process product inspections.
• Interacts with manufacturing and supervision to address quality process or batch-related concerns.
• Performs process compliance audits of all manufacturing areas to ensure quality.
• Performs troubleshooting, works independently, and uses existing procedures to guide decisions.
• Performs product functional testing in support of equipment validations.
• Identifies process improvements and escalates to Line Operations Supervision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
