Job summary

MEI is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Pharmaceuticals in Chantilly, VA to oversee project work from quoting to closeout. You will lead MEI field teams and coordinate multi-discipline efforts to meet scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, PMP is preferred, and 7–10 years of multi-project experience in industrial settings, including pharma. Travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, industrial engineering, or related field.
• PMI PMP certification preferred.
• 3–5 years pharma/life science project management experience.
• 7–10 years managing multiple projects in production/industrial settings.
• 5+ years machinery moving, construction, or safety experience preferred.
• Familiar with project lifecycle concepts, budgets, and risk management.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in active production environments with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned project work from quoting through on-site management and closeout.
• Coordinate MEI field teams and cross-functional staff to meet scope and timelines.
• Review plans, monitor costs, and manage changes via formal change control.
• Lead pre- and post-hand-off meetings with sales and operations teams.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and designers on scope, cost, and schedule.
• Maintain project files and status reports, ensuring contract alignment.
