Job summary

MEI is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Pharmaceuticals to oversee assigned projects from quoting to close-out, including MEI field teams and cross-functional coordination. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk across facilities, operations, and administration, ensuring contract compliance and high-quality execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, industrial engineering, or related field; MBA a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
• 3–5 years managing pharmaceutical / life science projects.
• 7–10 years managing multiple projects in a production facility or industrial environment.
• 5+ years experience in machinery moving, construction, project management or safety.
• Familiar with job-site concepts, practices, procedures, risks.
• Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-directed, can lead a team or work independently.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and documents; monitor costs and progress.
• Conduct pre- and post-hand-off meetings with sales and operations.
• Understand contract language and ensure scope adherence.
• Plan, administer, and complete assigned projects across functions.
• Supervise staff and approve payroll where applicable.
• Communicate with clients/contractors using RFQ/PI processes on cost/scope.
• Collaborate to execute the project management plan and handle change orders.
• Prepare status reports and ensure contract compliance.
• Oversee job-site management of crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate safety training and investigations with safety teams.
• Travel to client sites and manage on-site activities.
• Develop detailed project schedules with milestones and dependencies.
• Lead weekly progress meetings with stakeholders and executives.
• Maintain SharePoint project files for continuity.
