Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction & Constructability Manager for a major pharmaceutical manufacturing project.

The role oversees EPCM and construction contractors, ensuring design for constructability, GMP compliance, and CQV readiness while guiding risk management and stakeholder coordination. You will lead constructability reviews, develop execution plans, and oversee integration of design, procurement, and construction with a focus on safety and efficiency across all phases from planning

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of industrial construction experience, including leadership roles on large capital projects.
  • Minimum 10 years managing preconstruction and constructability programs on large capital projects.
  • Experience supporting projects greater than $500 million TIC.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead constructability program and governance across design, procurement, and execution phases.
  • Develop and implement construction execution plans, sequencing, and site strategy; evaluate modularization/off-site fabrication opportunities.
  • Provide owner oversight of design development to ensure constructability, operability, and CQV readiness; resolve interfaces.
  • Ensure GMP manufacturing areas, cleanrooms, HVAC, process piping and utilities meet project requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Support construction readiness, logistics, and Advanced Work Packaging planning; align milestones across procurement, engineering, and construction.
  • Identify and manage construction risks; develop contingency plans and drive risk workshops; communicate findings to leadership.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, controls, CQV, operations, and contractors; present constructability findings and recommendations.
