Job summary

Atkins Réalis is seeking a seasoned Pre-Construction Support & Constructability Lead to guide constructability, pre-construction planning, cost and schedule development for a major pharmaceutical manufacturing program in North America. The role partners with clients, engineering teams, EPCs, and suppliers to shape early decisions and execution strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 20+ years in pre-construction, PM, or EPC delivery.
• Experience on major capital projects exceeding $500M in total installed cost; multi-billion programs preferred.
• Pharmaceutical or complex industrial facilities experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, risk reviews, and decision forums.
• Ability to develop cost models, execution plans, and front-end strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Review designs for constructability, sequencing, and program alignment.
• Facilitate constructability reviews with stakeholders across disciplines.
• Lead TVD initiatives to align design with budgets while preserving requirements.
• Develop cost models, schedules, and execution readiness assessments.
• Identify modularization, prefabrication and off-site fabrication opportunities.
• Coordinate with controls, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Develop funding, authorization, and procurement readiness through stage-gate reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and establish best practices across the program.
