Job summary

Cipla in Fall River, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Operator I to support the production of MDI products. The role focuses on safe, compliant operation under cGMP, executing batch processes, material handling, and line clearance while meeting quality standards.

Work on second shift from 3:00PM to 11:30PM with potential weekend coverage. Requires at least a high school diploma and 1 year of manufacturing experience; salary is $20–$24 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Accredited college certificate or university degree is preferred.
• Minimum one year of manufacturing experience with MDI or aerosol products required.
• Proficient in the English language (Speaking/Reading/Writing) to understand work instructions and document results.
• Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing raw materials and primary packing materials as per work order.
• Ensure proper planning and execution of batches.
• Monitor cleaning and sanitation of production area and machinery per SOP.
• Record production materials and line activities daily.
• Conduct process checks and record in batch manufacturing records.
• Control machine operations with minimal rejections and maintain quality.
• Operate equipment and perform maintenance on machinery.
• Safeguard equipment with coordination for preventive maintenance and calibration.
• Manufacture and fill products as per Batch Manufacturing Records and SOP.
• Maintain inventory of machine parts, tools and accessories.
• Work individually and in collaboration as part of a team.
• Coordinate with packaging, engineering, QA and QC for planning.
• Perform sampling per schedule in coordination with QA and QC.
• Check status labels at all stages of manufacturing and filling.
• Identify and assist in corrective actions.
• Calibrate/verify instruments and weighing balances as scheduled.
• Ensure line clearance during batch/changeover.
• Document manufacturing and filling operations timely and accurately.
• Wear PPE as stated in SOP before entering processing areas.
• Execute procedures to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Perform duties with proper safety and equipment usage.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
