Job summary

Cipla is seeking a Packaging Operator I for the 3rd shift in Fall River, MA. The role focuses on packaging of MDI products in a cGMP environment, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining packaging equipment, ensuring proper labeling, and adhering to SOPs and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and at least 1 year packaging experience, with strong English skills and OSHA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College certificate or university degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in packaging operations preferred.
• Proficient in English (Speaking/Reading/Writing) to understand work instructions and document results.
• Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and operating principles of control systems.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including OSHA.
• Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate pharmaceutical packaging equipment with minimum rejection and maximum output.
• Clean machines and area during changeovers between batches/products.
• Perform operations and preventive maintenance of machines.
• Identify and assist in corrective actions of packaging issues.
• Ensure correct labeling and documentation at all stages of the line.
• Maintain equipment calibrations and line clearance before packaging.
• Wear PPE as required by SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Adhere to cGMPs, regulatory mandates and quality requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
