Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, logistics, or business administration is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in pharmaceutical supply chain, logistics, or claims management.
• Experience managing 3PLs and healthcare distribution networks.
• Knowledge of DSCSA/Serialization and FDA/GDP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end pharmaceutical distribution, transportation, inventory management, reverse logistics, and claims operations.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies supporting business growth and customer service objectives.
• Oversee domestic and international transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, distributors, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, manufacturers, and other partners.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, DSCSA, GDP, state, federal, and international distribution regulations.
• Lead cold-chain and controlled-substance logistics programs.
• Establish logistics performance metrics and service-level agreements.
• Drive continuous improvement in transportation costs, inventory turns, and order fulfillment.
• Direct chargebacks, rebates, returns, reverse distribution, shortages, damages, pricing disputes, and Medicaid/government claims.
• Partner with Finance and Commercial teams on accounting and reconciliation of claims.
• Develop and maintain logistics and claims SOPs; support audits, recalls, investigations, and corrective action plans.
• Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
• Manage departmental budgets and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Lead and develop logistics, claims, and supply chain professionals.
• Negotiate 3PL master service agreements, transportation rates, and cost-savings targets.
• Serve as primary point of contact for distribution-related inquiries and issues.
• Resolve inventory issues and analyze recurring problems.
• Use ERP and 3PL portals for returns, inventory movements, and freight charges.
• Provide distribution data for Annual Product Reviews
• Assist with VRS/serialization issues and periodic audits
• Perform quarterly destruction analyses and communicate with the 3PL distribution center
• Generate monthly metrics and assist with budget preparation
• Ensure Trade Agreement Act compliance and appropriate material sourcing.
