Job summary

Syndax Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director, Logistics to lead and optimize domestic and international pharmaceutical logistics. You will oversee 3PLs, transportation, warehousing, and serialization, ensuring GDP/GMP compliance and cost-effective delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in logistics within regulated industries, strong analytical and executive communication skills, and the ability to drive improvements across global supply chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive logistics experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated industries.
• Experience managing domestic and international pharmaceutical logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of GDP/GMP requirements and pharmaceutical distribution practices.
• Experience with 3PLs, transportation providers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
• Experience with temperature-controlled/cold-chain logistics.
• Strong analytical, financial, strategic-planning and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end logistics operations across domestic and international markets.
• Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, freight forwarding, customs, and 3PL activities.
• Monitor capacity, service levels, lead times, and logistics network performance.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, service, resilience, and cost.
• Oversee serialization-related data management and related issues across systems and partners.
• Partner with Quality to manage temperature excursions, deviations, investigations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Ensure logistics operations comply with GDP/GMP requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Drive risk assessments and mitigation strategies for transportation lanes, suppliers, and networks.
• Maintain documentation, traceability, and chain-of-custody controls.
• Analyze transportation and logistics spending for optimization.
• Provide logistics expertise during business continuity and supply disruption events.
