Job summary

Eagle Analytical is seeking a Lab Manager to lead day-to-day and strategic operations of a pharmaceutical testing lab in the United States. The role requires a strong background in analytical chemistry and extensive regulatory knowledge to ensure data integrity and compliant processes.

You will drive KPIs, oversee QA, CAPAs, deviations, and OOS investigations, and mentor lab leadership. Collaboration with clients and staff is essential, with travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry required; Master’s/Ph.D. preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership in pharmaceutical or regulated labs.
• Director- or Senior Manager-level experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for day-to-day and long-term lab operations.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for turnaround time, throughput, data quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure lab operations are scalable and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Lead continuous improvement to optimize workflows and resources.
• Oversee deviations, OOS investigations, CAPAs, and root cause analysis.
• Guide staff and supervisors in complex analytical challenges and client inquiries.
• Ensure cGMP, cGLP, ISO 17025 compliance and audit readiness.
• Support audits and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with IT to optimize LIMS and laboratory systems.
• Travel up to 10% to client or partner locations.
