Job summary

Eagle, a pharmaceutical analytics lab, seeks a Supervisor for Analytical Chemistry focusing on raw material testing in its Houston facility. You will lead routine and non-routine analyses, ensure timely results, and maintain rigorous documentation and instrument performance.

The role requires advanced degree in analytical chemistry or related field and 3–4 years’ pharma-lab experience, with strong instrumentation and SOP adherence. On-site work with a commitment to cGMP and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry or related science.
• 3–4 years of experience in an analytical chemistry lab within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands-on instrumental analysis and wet chemistry per compendial procedures.
• Knowledge of sampling methods and quality control systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform routine and non-routine raw material testing according to procedures and timelines.
• Review test results for accuracy and compliance; investigate out-of-spec results with minimal supervision.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TOC, wet chemistry); coordinate maintenance.
• Ensure proficiency with SOPs and systems specific to raw material analysis.
• Stay current with advances in analytical techniques and regulatory expectations for pharmaceutical testing.
• Provide leadership across all raw material testing workstations and ensure cross-training and coverage.
• Ensure meticulous, compliant documentation in accordance with cGMP and data integrity.
• Lead development, revision, and review of SOPs and lab documentation for raw material testing.
