Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Production Specialist I to join a fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation.

You will support setup, changeover and packaging, and contribute to a quality-focused environment by guiding peers towards excellence. The role emphasizes adherence to safety, environmental, and cGMP requirements, with responsibilities spanning line clearance, equipment setup, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize production flow.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Demonstrated focus on quality and compliance with site policies.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering and mechanical teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
• Understanding of POMs, SAP, MAXIMO preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and guidelines; foster a proactive safety culture.
• Perform housekeeping cleans on finishing lines and complete line clearances for lot/list changes.
• Assist in setup of automated equipment in packaging areas within value streams.
• Operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment to produce finished products.
• Perform quality-impact activities during production, including checks and sampling.
• Sustain 6S of parts and tooling across the production floor.
• Escalate safety, quality, or operating issues to the appropriate groups.
• Communicate improvement opportunities to cross-functional teams and align with production schedule.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform minor adjustments to improve efficiency.
