Job summary

Lonza Biologics, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking an Apprentice - Equipment Technician to join a 12-hour rotating shift program. This hands-on role supports maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment readiness on pharmaceutical production lines to meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

You will gain practical experience with preventive maintenance, changeovers, and basic electrical/mechanical systems while working under supervision in a GMP manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in GMP manufacturing.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and safe work habits.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, inspections, adjustments, and replacements.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and equipment-related issues.
• Support equipment changeovers, repairs, and functional testing.
• Maintain records in GDP-compliant manner.
