Job summary

Lonza in Tampa, FL is seeking motivated individuals for a rotational 12-hour Apprentice - Equipment Technician program. You will support safe, compliant operation of production and packaging equipment, performing preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting in a regulated pharmaceutical site.

This hands-on role emphasizes learning to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot tablet presses, coating systems, conveyors, and related equipment, with a focus on safety and GDP compliance.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in GMP manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/technical training preferred.
• Ability to perform routine PMs and inspect equipment.
• Willingness to learn CMMS documentation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and safe work habits in GMP setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Perform basic lubrication, cleaning, and inspections.
• Support equipment changeovers and testing.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and PPE.
