Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Tampa, FL is seeking an Apprentice - Equipment Technician to support the safe, compliant operation of production and packaging equipment in a regulated pharmaceutical OS manufacturing site.

The role covers preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a range of machinery including presses, fillers, coating systems, cartoners, and conveyors. This hands-on program features a 12-hour rotating shift pattern and on-the-job training with experienced maintenance techs,

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training is a plus.
0-2 years of relevant experience in GMP manufacturing.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow SOPs and batch records.
Able to perform PMs, cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and adjustments.
Reads basic mechanical drawings and work instructions.
Documents work accurately in the CMMS.
Supports changeovers and routine cleaning tasks with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities

Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Perform basic mechanical tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, inspections, adjustments, and component replacements under supervision.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical/equipment issues.
Support equipment changeovers, repairs, and functional testing.
Develop familiarity with motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
