Job summary

HazTek Safety Management in Rahway, NJ seeks a Safety Manager to lead daily field safety oversight, conduct audits, review permits for hot work, LOTO, fall protection, and scaffolding, and support commissioning activities. The role requires OSHA 510, commissioning experience, and strong communication with contractors; pharmaceutical construction and hazmat project experience are highly preferred. Qualifications

• OSHA 510 required.
• Pharmaceutical construction experience highly preferred.
• Commissioning experience required.
• Experience with lab renovations or hazmat projects preferred.
• HAZWOPER 40 preferred.
• Previous experience at a major pharmaceutical facility preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections.
• Review and manage permits for: Hot Work, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Fall Protection, Scaffolding.
• Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Attend weekly toolbox talks with the general contractor.
• Support commissioning activities.
• Ensure OSHA and site safety compliance.
