Job summary

HazTek Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional to support a pharmaceutical construction project in Ridgefield, NJ. The role provides on-site safety oversight during demolition and reconstruction, ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory requirements.

You will lead safety inspections, support JHAs and permit processes, and coach field personnel on safe practices. OSHA 30 and HAZWOPER are required, with preferred pharma/industrial safety experience.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Pharmaceutical, industrial, or heavy construction safety experience preferred.
• Crane operations and critical lifts experience required.
• Strong communication, leadership and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site EHS support throughout demolition and construction activities.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and observations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client safety requirements.
• Support pre-task planning, JHAs, and permit processes.
• Monitor crane operations and critical lifts to ensure safe execution.
• Coach contractors and field personnel on safe work practices.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports.
