Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional to support an active pharmaceutical construction project in Ridgefield, NJ. The role provides on-site safety oversight during large interior demolition and reconstruction, ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulatory and site-specific requirements.

The candidate will oversee daily EHS support, conduct inspections, ensure OSHA compliance, assist with pre-task planning, and monitor crane

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 required.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Previous pharmaceutical, industrial, or heavy construction safety experience preferred.
• Experience supporting crane operations and critical lifts required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily on-site EHS support throughout demolition and construction activities
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and observations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and client safety requirements
• Support pre-task planning, JHAs, and permit processes
• Monitor crane operations and critical lifts to ensure safe execution
• Coach contractors and field personnel on safe work practices
• Investigate incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports
