Job summary

HazTek Safety Management in Houston, TX seeks a Lead Safety Manager to ensure best practices, safety compliance, and a culture of safety on a pharmaceutical facility construction project.

You will lead safety meetings, investigate incidents, conduct audits, and oversee subcontractors while developing JHA and HASP; must have 7+ years of construction safety, including leadership, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct construction safety experience required, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing safety teams.
• Experience supporting large capital projects within pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology environments.
• OSHA 500 is a plus.
• Active BCSP certification is highly preferred.
• Advance knowledge of construction safety standards and pharmaceutical safety protocols.
• Great verbal and written communication.
• Ability to coach and mentor in all facets of the construction safety process.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the commercial construction project within the pharmaceutical facility ensuring OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
• Daily safety audits and inspections
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
• Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP)
