Job summary

BioTalent seeks a CODESYS PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer for a large pharmaceutical capital project. You will design, develop, test, and commission PLC-based automation systems, integrating HMI/SCADA and OEM equipment.

On-site involvement during FAT, commissioning, and startup is required to deliver compliant automated manufacturing processes. The role emphasizes IEC 61131-3 programming, STR/LD/FBD coding, and adherence to GMP, GAMP 5, and 21 CFR Part 11 standards while coordinating with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years in industrial automation/PLC programming.
Demonstrated CODESYS experience and pharma/biopharma project exposure.
Willing to spend significant time on-site during FAT, commissioning, startup.
Experience with GMP/GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11 is desirable.
Ability to design, test, commission and qualify PLC systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and commission PLC-based automation for a pharma capital project.
Develop CODESYS applications using IEC 61131-3, ST, FBD, and LD.
Configure HMI/SCADA, remote I/O, VFDs, and plant networks.
Integrate OEM skids and third-party equipment into the control system.
Participate in FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and CSV/CSA activities.
Maintain software documentation, version control, and change control.
Ensure compliance with GMP, data integrity, and regulatory requirements.
