Job summary

Comecer is seeking a Control Systems Software Engineer to provide technical programming and commissioning support for our North American customers. You will work on software for PLC/HMI systems (Siemens, Rockwell), PCs, and related controls software across Radiopharma, Pharma, and ATMP projects.

The role involves developing software to specification, supporting SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ activities, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
• At least three years in controls engineering software.
• Knowledge of PLC development environments: Siemens, Rockwell, B&R.
• Knowledge of Scada/HMI: Siemens WinCC, TIA Portal, Movicon, Rockwell, B&R.
• Knowledge of Comecer products regulatory certification processes.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams and customers under deadlines.
• Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.
• Excellent time-management and multi-project coordination skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project technical specifications and objectives.
• Monitor project progress and team performance.
• Draft technical documentation across project phases.
• Develop software per specifications and Gantt chart.
• Supervise and coordinate project team to meet objectives.
• Contribute to network architecture and component selection.
• Attend alignment meetings to discuss progress and issues.
• Perform FAT and commissioning activities.
• Support documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
