Job summary

Legal PM Partners (LPMP) seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead CAPEX projects in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in northern Puerto Rico. You will manage planning, design, construction, turnover, and closeout while coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

The role requires GMP awareness and strong cost/schedule control. Ideal candidates have 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical construction, with proven leadership and bilingual

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction project management within regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience managing construction, facilities, infrastructure, or similar projects.
• Experience managing CAPEX projects, budget development, cost control, forecasting, and change management.
• Experience coordinating construction within active manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmaceutical construction and CAPEX projects from planning/design through construction, turnover, and closeout.
• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Develop and monitor capital budgets, cost estimates, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee construction activities in facilities, utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing areas.
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents for alignment with requirements.
• Support procurement activities, contractor selection, bid evaluations, and contract administration.
• Manage scope changes, change orders, project risks, and issues affecting cost/schedule/quality.
• Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and construction activities to minimize disruption to operations.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to safety procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Maintenance, and EHS teams.
• Coordinate turnover, commissioning readiness, punch list resolution, and facility turnover.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular updates on progress, budgets, risks, and milestones.
