Job summary

Mentor Technical Group seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead projects from planning to closeout, ensuring compliance with cGMP, OSHA, and client standards. This role focuses on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device environments in Puerto Rico and the US.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and teams, review drawings, provide technical leadership, perform site inspections, and coordinate with clients, regulators, and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license active and in good standing.
• 8+ years in construction management or industrial projects.
• Experience in FDA-regulated industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, local building codes, and standards.
• Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD.
• Excellent English and Spanish communication preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
• OSHA 30-Hour and PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction management with limited supervision.
• Lead projects from planning through closeout.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, codes, OSHA, and client standards.
• Manage schedules, budgets, resources, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Provide technical leadership during all project phases.
• Conduct field inspections and site activity oversight.
• Coordinate with clients, engineering teams, contractors, and regulators.
• Identify risks and communicate mitigation strategies.
• Prepare status and budget reports and project documentation.
• Promote customer-oriented solutions aligned with project goals.
• Ensure high quality and review work for compliance.
• Maintain professional MTG relationships with clients.
• Support business development with technical input on proposals.
• Ensure compliance with MTG administrative requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and emerging technologies.
