Job summary

Nakupuna Consulting seeks a Mail Security Screener to perform security screening operations in support of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency's mission. You will inspect mail and parcels for threats, operate tracking systems, and assist security personnel with screening procedures in a high-security environment.

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience, and a U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Military, CBRNE or physical security background desirable.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect mail/parcels for CBRNE threats.
• Maintain a web-based tracking system for parcel accountability.
• Assist security personnel with x-ray operations.
• Conduct explosives and contraband trace detection.
• Open and inspect mail following guidelines; stay alert.
• Communicate critical operational information to admin staff.
• Work effectively in a close team environment.
• Collect, package and annotate biological samples for lab analysis.
• Maintain emergency response readiness; respond to incidents.
• Lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and wear PPE as required.
