Job summary

SGS North America Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join the PFAS team. The role emphasizes preparing and analyzing samples with accuracy and precision in line with SGS SOPs and meeting daily production targets.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, applying basic analytical chemistry principles and ensuring safe laboratory practices to maintain timely hold and turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with 1–2 years of analytical chemistry lab experience; OR 4 years in sample prep.
• Proficiency in English.
• Basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples according to SGS SOPs using department instrumentation.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Assist with investigation and responses to client inquiries and CARs.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook and adhere to internal standards and procedures.
