Job summary

SGS is seeking a Lab Analyst I – PFAS Lab for our Dayton, NJ facility to prepare and analyze PFAS samples with accuracy and adherence to SGS SOPs. The role requires both independent work and teamwork to meet daily production targets and turnaround times.

The ideal candidate will hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry (or related field) with 0–2 years' experience, strong math skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with LIMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science with required experience as stated.
• Basic math and reasoning skills are required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/Word) is required.
• Experience with LIMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples according to SGS SOPs.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Support MDL studies, investigations, and client inquiries as needed.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook and adhere to safety policies.
