Job summary

Petco in Washington is seeking a Pet Stylist Apprentice to provide professional grooming services for our valued clients' pets. You will bathe, dry, trim coats, and style while prioritizing pet safety and comfort.

You’ll work closely with pet parents, follow breed standards, maintain a clean salon, and learn from experienced leaders. Candidates with grooming training or completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program, and willingness to work weekends/evenings, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Pet Stylist Apprentice program completed with Petco, or grooming experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, nails and glands.
• Operate grooming tools and maintain salon equipment.
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet and communicate with pet parents.
• Educate clients on at-home grooming and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area and adhere to policies.
