Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for our clients' pets. You will bathe, dry, brush, cut and style coats, trim nails, clean ears, and ensure each pet receives exceptional care in a safe, clean salon.

The role offers opportunities for creativity, growth, and a supportive team. Applicants should complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or have equivalent grooming experience, and be available on weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with pet parents and grooming team members.
• Genuine passion for animals with a desire to continue a career in pet grooming.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring grooming services are executed accurately and to the highest standards.
• Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving, using grooming skills and knowledge to solve problems in routine to moderately complex situations.

Responsibilities

• The Pet Stylist performs expert-level grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers.
• Prioritize safety, well-being of animals, monitor for discomfort or illness and report concerns.
• Interact professionally with pet parents, provide grooming recommendations, and resolve questions or concerns.
