Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services and outstanding customer care. You will handle bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, and related tasks with attention to safety and animal welfare.

Ideal candidates have completed the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent training, with flexibility to work weekends and evenings in our DC-area salons. Competitive benefits and access to grooming supplies are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, cuts and styling per client instructions.
• Operate and maintain grooming equipment (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers).
• Ensure pet safety and comfort and deliver excellent client service.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care practices.
