Job summary

Petco is seeking a professional Pet Stylist in California to provide expert grooming services for our customers' pets. You will bathe, cut, and style dogs while prioritizing safety and comfort, and you may train and supervise trainees in the absence of a Grooming Salon Leader.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or grooming certification.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
• Strong knowledge of breed-specific grooming requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services (bathing, drying, brushing, cuts) per client instructions.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools and equipment.
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet and communicate with pet parents.
• Educate clients on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Assist in training and supervising trainees when needed.
