Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking an Assistant Store Team Leader to help run daily operations with a hands-on, pet-friendly approach. You will lead by example, support the Store Team Leader, and deliver neighborly service to customers and their pets.

You’ll help hire, train, and coach team members, analyze performance, and collaborate with the franchise owner to create a fun, safe, and high-performing store environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer-facing leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team members to deliver neighborly service.
• Greet neighbors and pets and create a welcoming in-store experience.
• Assist customers in selecting products for their pets' needs.
• Support store performance including sales, engagement, and productivity.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and coaching of staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-run store environment.
