Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to lead customer-focused service and daily store operations. You will greet neighbors, guide shoppers, and support the team in achieving store goals with a paw-sitive attitude and neighborly approach.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong sales ability, and the willingness to perform practical store tasks including nail trims for pets when needed. Join a friendly, community-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Able to operate forklift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store team leaders to reinforce PSP standards and daily management routines.
• Provide leadership coverage and perform management functions up to four times a week when leaders are offsite.
• Adhere to operational policies and procedures (cleanliness, animal care, safety and security) to ensure exceptional service.
• Learn and perform back office procedures – like signs, price changes, cashier records – to meet standards.
• Assist in store recruiting, onboarding and team member development.
• Communicate opportunities to improve community engagement or store performance to the team leaders.
