Job summary

Pets at Home is seeking a Deputy Store Manager Designate for the Trowbridge/Chippenham/Bath area to help run the store alongside Store Managers, leading the team, recruiting, stocking, and maintaining our high standards.

When the Store Manager is unavailable, you’ll take full responsibility for daily operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer and pet care. Ongoing training and development opportunities are provided to support your growth.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of management experience in retail.
• Flexible to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Passionate about learning and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead the team to deliver a fun, customer-focused environment.
• Drive sales performance and achieve key KPIs.
• Oversee store operations including recruitment, stock management, and health & safety compliance.
• Act as Duty Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Lead by example and contribute to store success.
