Job summary

gpac is seeking a Key Account Manager - Pet Specialty to join our client’s DuPage County, IL team. You will oversee national and regional pet specialty retailers and distributors, focusing on building HQ-level relationships to drive distribution and sales growth.

You will analyze trends and data to shape account strategies, participate in reviews and market presentations, and travel as needed. This is an onsite role requiring local commuting to the DuPage County office.

Qualifications

• Pet industry experience required, pet specialty preferred.
• Headquarters-level key account management experience; not outside territory sales.
• Local to the DuPage County, IL area and onsite role; able to commute.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for assigned national and regional pet specialty retailers and distributors.
• Develop and maintain headquarters-level relationships that drive distribution and sales growth
• Use trends and sales data to shape account strategy and match products to customer needs
• Participate in performance reviews and market presentations with customers
• Engage regularly with existing accounts to meet their needs and sales goals
• Partner with the Regional Sales Manager on account plans (individual contributor role, no direct reports)
