Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts, and its Pooch Hotel Norwalk location in Norwalk, Connecticut, seeks a General Manager to lead daily operations, guest experience, and financial performance. You’ll drive revenue, manage costs, and build a high-performing team delivering top-tier pet care and service.

The role blends hands-on leadership with strategic ownership, guiding front- and back-of-house teams, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence across the resort.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience with P&L responsibility.
• Strong operational leadership and coaching abilities.
• Availability to work 45–50 hours weekly, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle to transport a pet in emergencies.
• Ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead resort operations, guest experience, and profitability.
• Own budget and key metrics, including revenue and EBITDA.
• Develop sales strategies and local market plans.
• Coach and develop the leadership team.
• Ensure safety, pet care, and facility standards.
• Lead Manager on Duty shifts as needed.
