Job summary

Shields Health Care is seeking a PET Technologist to provide a professional, caring atmosphere while working in a fast-paced nuclear medicine setting across multiple MA locations (Springfield, Pittsfield, Northampton). You will operate PET equipment, ensure patient safety, and record exam data.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB-registered technologists with at least 1 year of nuclear medicine experience and CPR certification.

Qualifications

Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which employed.
Must be certified in CPR.
Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Must be proficient in starting IVs.
Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
Follow Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures and protocols for patient safety.
Inform patients about exam details to their level of understanding.
Provide films and forward PET data to Radiologist after exams.
Assist clerical staff and maintain equipment and rooms.
