Job summary

Shields Health Care is seeking a PET technologist to operate PET equipment, manage hot lab duties, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will inform patients about their exam, position them for imaging, and relay results to radiologists.

Required ARRT/NMTCB certification, state license, CPR, and at least 1 year in nuclear medicine. Strong interpersonal skills, IV start ability, and mobility assistance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in starting IVs.
• Able to assist patients with mobility.
• Proficient in computer data entry and patient records.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes.
• Perform hot lab responsibilities and ensure patient safety.
• Position patients accurately and provide comfort throughout exams.
• Record and forward PET data to Radiologist after exams.
• Maintain and supply equipment and rooms; clean as needed.
