Job summary

Oakwood Animal Hospital in Tallahassee, FL seeks a dynamic Hospital Manager to lead our expanding team alongside the Managing Veterinarian. You will drive revenue, control costs, and strengthen patient care and client service while ensuring on-site leadership.

This role requires a bachelor's in business (preferred) and 3–5 years in a managerial capacity within hospital, retail, or service settings. You will oversee P&L, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and labor costs, promoting a cohesive team

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of managerial experience, including customer service experience.
• Experience in hospital, retail, or service-based industry settings is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete ownership of P&L, accountable for hospital performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast needs.
• Manage accounts receivable and hospital inventory; control costs.
• Oversee payroll for hospital staff and develop the hospital schedule.
• Manage labor costs and drive processes to improve efficiency and patient care.
• Champion change; document and promote best practices.
• Lead the hospital team to optimize client service and operations.
• Implement new technologies and initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Establish and drive the hospital culture and values.
• Track licensure for DVMs and ensure compliance.
• Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations with staff and clients.
