Job summary

Oakwood Animal Hospital in Florida is seeking a Hospital Manager to lead our expanding team and collaborate with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure efficient, profitable operation and top-tier patient care. Regular on-site attendance is a fundamental requirement for this role.

This position drives revenue, controls costs, mentors staff, and ensures exceptional client service while overseeing payroll, scheduling, inventory, and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of managerial experience, including customer service responsibilities.
• Experience in hospital, retail, or service-based industries with increasing responsibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete ownership of P&L, accountable for the hospital's performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast the hospital's needs.
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs.
• Manage payroll for hospital staff.
• Develop the hospital schedule and manage labor costs.
• Champion change and identify, document, share, and promote best practices.
• Lead the hospital team to enhance processes and workflows, covering client service, operations, and administrative tasks.
• Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Establish and drive the culture of the hospital.
• Track and maintain current licensures for all DVMs.
• Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations.
• Demonstrate and reinforce the highest level of client service.
