Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Hospital Manager for Hunter's Animal Hospital in White Hall, AR. Manage a hospital support team to drive revenue, control costs, and ensure high-quality patient care and client service.

The role partners with a veterinarian to create an efficient, compliant operation and foster a culture of care for pets and clients within a community-focused hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in business, health science or related field.
• Five years of direct office management experience with at least two years supervision.
• Equivalent combination of education, certification, training, or experience considered.
• Ability to provide courteous, prompt, and efficient customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinic software.
• Established and cooperative working relationships.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to complete work promptly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Flexible scheduling including some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with or around sick animals and hazardous materials.
• Physical ability for keyboard work and possible prolonged standing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff within all hospital support departments; meets labor goals.
• Hires and trains office and technical clinic support staff; handles onboarding paperwork.
• Orients and trains new clinic staff to hospital duties.
• Reviews performance, provides feedback, and addresses issues with Regional Manager weekly.
• Conducts timely performance appraisals.
• Documents and reports accidents; files required reports.
• Writes policies/procedures for all technical aspects and seeks approval.
• Manages schedules for technical and administrative staff; coordinates with DVM.
• Monitors overtime hours and Workforce Management daily.
• Administers daily operations and ensures compliance with admin duties.
• Collaborates with the PetVet Care Centers support team on compliance.
• Monitors budgets; purchases equipment and maintains the facility.
• Oversees vendor invoices; ensures invoice accuracy and collects W-9s.
• Maintains licensure for staff and displays current licenses.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
